Is it legal to NOT give a full refund of the tax return a product?
I bought something from BestBuy in Los Angeles (where the tax is 8.250%) and returned in Vacaville (When the tax is 7.375%). They technically did not give me a full refund as stated in their return policy because I got a refund for the cost of the product Vacaville SUPPORT + VAT, no + THE COST OF PRODUCT TAX BRACKET. I skimmed taxes. It is only a relatively small amount of money, but is it legal?
Think of it this way – when it was purchased, the company was liable to pay the state 8.25. Then, when he returned, only get "credits" by 7.375. That said, poor customer service and is the likely scenario that the drone at the cash register did not know how change the tax rate for a refund.
