Selling Adobe Photoshop Cs4 on ebay, don’t know how much it should go for?
I listed brand new Sealed Retail Photoshop CS4 on ebay at thestarting bit of $0.99. I donno how much should I let it go for, so if anyone has any idea pls let me know.

Well, here’s your problem… You’ve most likely got fake software. No ifs ands or buts about it. All of the PS software and Windows XP OEMs on ebay are counterfeit. You bought this really cheap right? Like from iOffer, Craigslist, or China, right? I highly doubt your roomate left a $1,000 piece of software behind. And if he paid less than that (like $2-300) it’s fake.
China has gotten really good at producing PS and Windows (but the Windows OEMs are quickly being blacklisted by MS). It will install, update, and pretend to register. It also includes the “Genuine” easter eggs Adobe embedded to distinguish from counterfeits.
You will get bids going over $200 BUT there’s a good chance the auction will be pulled at the last minute or even AFTER and all bidders and the winner will be notified that you were selling a counterfeit. It is a VeRO item and VeRO members troll the Adobe auctions regularly. With luck, you might be able to get away with it, but if you list another in a short period of time, it will get pulled and you will get strikes against your account.
Ebay doesn’t ask or answer any questions. If it gets reported, it will get pulled. And it doesn’t even have to be a VeRO member who reports it, many sellers report others who they feel threatened by because they are underselling them. Also, your starting bid is a homing beacon for VeRO. It’s too cheap. If I were you, I’d have started at at least $100.
If you get a take down notice from ebay, one of the reasons they list of possibilities that they believe it is counterfeit is that it was being auctioned at too low of a price.
