How I can help with studio flashes to get rid of hot spots in skin models … especially the face.?
I shot in a studio setting with 3 strobe lights. the main light is a variable departing pHotoFlex 300WS complete. and two light bulbs … 150ws lights. I use one as a backdrop and a light hair light / fill light. the key light has a white umbrella bounce (and even been shot through the umbrella), hair light isoftene sometimes used with an attachment and light-colored background gels has been connected to the backlight. Ihave movedd modeling light …. High … … lowest on one side … more to the head in position and no matter I do, I get white spots hot …. harsh light … on the faces of the models. I was using an umbrella covered in silver and replaced by …. helped some white …. any suggestions? I can edit with photoshop, but I know that is not the best way, do not yield the best results, and quite frankly, is a long time … Also if you have a "right" to do it, I want to do it that way. thanks for the responses.
Some specular highlights can only be removed with a slight dust layer Cornsilk in the model. It is also possible that the lights are too close to the subject.
