Expectations for Canon 5D Mark 3 or equivalent?
Hello, I wonder if Canon, and the professional camera market, will be heading. When 5D could mark 3 or equivalent out? What I like is something equivalent with the same image quality as the mark of 1 or better, at a similar price or less. Furthermore, if decide when they could remove the component of mirror? Correct me if I'm wrong, but not really necessary for digital cameras? Like the new Olympus "PEN" series. No doubt blinds will be unnecessary as well? And last but not least, what are the expectations for the development of cameras with greater dynamic range? In my opinion, if the mark 2 is capable of 30fps (Ok. .. only high-definition resolution, but still) … then I do not see that it is impossible that the camera to take pictures in rapid succession combined into one composite HDR image automatically?
1) 1D 5D image quality. That's exactly what you get. The 5D and 5D Mk2 has a sensor on an impressive body of consumer grade – plastic housing, auto focus slow … all on the line 5D is a cost reduction measure, but the image quality. Since the 5D Mk2 is still fairly new and the upgrade cycle of higher bodies Canon's range is not as fast as with his rebel, do not expect a replacement until 2011/2012. 2) Reform without the mirror. Forget it. The Olympus EP1 is getting much attention for small form factor, but the lack of an appropriate viewer, makes a glorified point and shoot. The display connection 17mm lens addresses this, but is a solution cludgy. Olympus has announced a model with an electronic viewfinder for this fall, but is still no substitute for a decent optical VF. All electronic viewfinders enter 0.1 seconds delay (for the image to be projected in the viewfinder), and that in itself means that it will always be inferior. Add to this that EVFs become sluggish low light, and LCD screens can be unviewable in bright light. Until we straighten it out, you always want an optical viewfinder for serious work. Personally, I hope the sell EP1 like crazy and drew Canon, Nikon, Sony, Voigtlander in the market for digital range finder, too. Maybe something with a full frame sensor and a Leica M mount … I gladly pay $ 2,000 for it. (The Leica M8.2 is a price for non-retired physicians – photographers.) 3) Built-in digital SLR cameras Nikon HDR can sort of do this with single shots with "D-Lighting." The solution you describe is something I could see that happening very soon. However, any camera bracket allows 3-6 FPS, and software will be about automating the process of combining images into one HDR. So it would be a nice-to-have, not a must-have. Also, with this sort of thing (as with the conversion into black and white), if you still have stellar results to do things the hard way – with RAW image files and a proper workflow in Photoshop.
