Which is better mac or pc?
Which is better, Mac or PC. I want to get a mac because i heard many people said it is very good and I’ve been using a PC for a long time that I’m afraid i would break it. Can someone tell me the difference between the two and what they are mostly used for. Also will i have to buy a new router because my router is linksys and it is connected to my desktop(which is a pc). Will there also be a difference in programs like adobe, Microsoft, etc. Also what is the retail price of a macbook 13 inch 2.0GHz. Ty sorry if this is too long, but i have a lot of questions.
The difference mainly is that Apple makes both their hardware (the computer) and the software (Mac OS). This allows them to customize their computers or software to be able to work almost flawlessly with each other. Microsoft doesn’t make their own hardware; they just make the software.
As for what they are used for, aside from the general internet use that both are used for, Windows is used more for gaming, as Windows PCs are able to be bought that are specifically used for gaming, while Macbooks are used more for video/audio editing and the like.
A Windows computer is more general for everyone, while a Macbook is geared towards the artist, while still being usable by everyone. Granted, Windows does have software that rivals Mac software for audio/Video Editing, but it can often be expensive.
A basic 13″ Macbook is about $1000, although if you want the Aluminum body, it’s $1300. That’s a lot higher than a comparable Windows PC.
If you get a Macbook, you shouldn’t have to change your router, as my neighbor can access my wireless network from his Macbook while I can use it with my Windows PC, and it’s a basic Netgear router.
