can you update the os on a g3 imac or would there be room for creative suite cs4?
i in no way can afford a new mac laptop, so im considering getting a used ibook, maybe the g3, for art purposes because its hard switching between macs at school and my PC.
i dont have specs on any one G3 because i dont have one specific one in mind yet, but what i basically need it for is the programs of adobe creative suite cs3 or 4. is it possible to install the programs or would they be too large?
as an aside, the newer macs have great battery life, do the older ones usually get decent battery life?

I had a G3 iBook all through college it worked fine for most of the stuff I was doing at the time, but I wouldn’t even consider trying to run CS3 or CS4 on it.
If you are looking for a used MacBook I would get at least a MacBook with a intel Core Duo. You should be able to pick one of those up for less then $600 and not have to get a crap PC.
You may also consider spending a little more and get a refurbished or use your education discount through Apple.
